Identify the site
Select Camping only after you know the type of trip: established campground, cabin area, or another setting. The planner adds one warm layer per person and a shared campsite booking and gear-check reminder. It does not produce a full camping equipment inventory.
Read the site’s current rules and facilities yourself. Water, shelter, cooking, fires, and vehicle access can differ substantially between places.
Plan clothing by conditions
Enter trip days and a laundry interval that reflects actual access. Core clothing quantities follow the visible cycle formulas. Revise them for wet weather, long walks, or repeated muddy activities instead of assuming a city packing count is sufficient.
Check forecast and expected temperature near departure. A generic warm-layer reminder does not specify fabric, insulation, or weather protection.
Inventory shared gear
Use custom reminders for the gear your group has chosen, one line per item. Assign a person to inspect each item and record real quantities on the printed or downloaded list. One tent or one cooking setup may or may not fit the party.
Confirm reservations and any equipment requirements directly with the campsite or provider. The tool cannot validate your booking.
Complete the separate safety plan
Make a separate plan for route information, communication, local conditions, and any emergency or medical needs relevant to your party. This planner is not a complete emergency kit or survival checklist.
Before leaving, have each traveler verify personal essentials while the group checks shared gear. A clean final list should show who carries what.
